The Sooke and Juan de Fuca Health Foundation is pleased to announce the granting of five-thousand dollars from the Mary Brown Memorial Fund to Sooke Autism Support Society to help in the provision of services for special needs children and their families. Over the next two years the grant will provide Easter Seal Adventure Camp placements, EMCS Scholarships supporting children with special needs, and educational and support workshops.
Sherri Palle, President of the Sooke Autism Support Society, remarked, “The SASS Executive is excitedly planning on the implementation of these 3 new initiatives for 2023 in our community so please stay tuned for more information. We are deeply grateful for being awarded this grant and know that it will have a meaningful and significant impact on our families.”
Dr. Chris Bryant, Foundation Co-Chair, commented, “The Foundation is pleased to support the work of the Sooke Autism Support Society, a local charity providing education and support to families and individuals with special needs.
